The Christian

Life

is

REAL!

Real People

Romans 12:3 – “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

We are privileged to serve the Lord in song, but every Christian has been given a service to do for the Lord.  Every job the Lord gives us is important. Through the teaching of our grandfather, Rev. James Stewart (founding Pastor of Beacon Baptist Church in Nashville, TN), we learned that if we get up to sing in our flesh, we had better watch out for a fall because we would be singing with pride in our hearts.

We are Real People dependant on God for His…

Real Power

Ephesians 3:20-21 – “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

We must have God’s power because we can do nothing without it!  Almighty God has given to His children the Holy Spirit.  If we will allow Him to fill us with His power, we can see what a God who can do the impossible can do through us!

We also need His Real Power in order to stay faithful to Him through…

Real Problems

I Peter 1:6-7 – “Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes people have the misconception that traveling and singing for the Lord is glamorous and problem-free, but that is not true.  Yes, it is an honor to serve God, but we have struggles and trials that are meant to grow us and humble us in order for us to become more like Christ and bring Him more glory from our lives.  We are so grateful that during these hard times,

we have a God who has given us the opportunity to bring all of our Real Problems to Him through…

Real Prayer

James 4:1-2 – “From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have not, because ye ask not.

Through the years, we have seen miracles happen in our lives and in the lives of others because God answered prayer!  We pray about everything!  Why should we think we can handle things on our own?  Why should we not take advantage of the greatest resource God has given to us as Christians – prayer?  We have learned to pray specifically about spiritual, physical, financial, and many other needs we have had as a family.  When we leave our situation in the Lord’s hands and surrender our lives to Him

through Real Prayer, He gives us His…

Real Peace

Philippians 4:6-7 – “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Salvation (receiving Christ as our personal Savior) gives us peace with God; sanctification (children of God, humbly allowing God to control our daily lives) gives us the peace of God.  As we grow in the Lord,

we can have Real Peace as we rest in His…

Real Promises

II Corinthians 7:1 – “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

God has given us exceeding great and precious promises, and we can trust His Word.  Often as a family, we have searched God’s Truth and claimed His promises for help in our lives.  We are thankful

to have Real Promises that give us faith to live a life of…

Real Purpose

II Timothy 1:9 – “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.”

Christianity is not a religion.  It’s a relationship with Jesus Christ, the One who sacrificed everything for us so that we could be freed from sin and one day spend eternity with Him!  It is His desire for us to be a living sacrifice, willing to live our lives for Him.  If each of us follow

God’s plan of Real Purpose, our lives will bring Him…

Real Praise

Psalm 30:12 – "To the end that my glory sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever."

The Lord is good all the time, and He deserves our continual praise!  His love and faithfulness to us is unending, and His mercies are new every day!  Why do Christians hide their praise for God?  Why do they conceal their Christianity?  By the power of God, let us purpose to live lives

of Real Praise to God and let the whole world know THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS REAL!!!
